She was also appointed as honorary president of the Canadian Guild of Potters. During World War Two she and her husband Peter were appointed Official War Artists and traveled to the west coast to capture the Canadian Armed Forces. She lectured at the University of Toronto. She had a solo show at Roberts Gallery, and this painting was likely included in this exhibition. McLean collection of Canadian Art.
