Comments: This large carving is a superb example of the artist's work.

Donny Pitsiulak comes from a family of artists. His parents, George and Nellie, are both artists, as are his five brothers: Kolola, Mark, Charlie, Simata and Sammy and his sister Jeannie Padluq. Donny began carving when he was twelve years old, learning by watching his father. He has worked in ivory and antler, but carves primarily in stone.

Also known as Pitseolak.
